IDEAS Blog Hop - Sharing Love

January_Banner_editedHi there

I'm back with the IDEAS (International Demos Exciting Artistic Stampin') team this month to share more fabulous projects. We are a group of international demonstrators who create a Tutorial Bundle each month to give you, our customers and readers a heap of inspiration for your crafting. This month it's all about Sharing Love - letting friends and family know they are loved and appreciated! We don't 'do' Valentine's Day so much here in Australia, but showing love and appreciation is something you can do ANY day. We have 10 fabulous tutorials in this month's bundle, each including a 3D project.

If you've come from looking at MaryKate's sweet projects, then welcome! If you're visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today!  You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the IDEAS Team by clicking on the NEXT button at the bottom of the post.

Stampin' Up! Meant To Be & Stitched Be Mine Dies - Judy May, Just Judy Designs
This month I've created a cute heart-shaped basket to fill with treats. It has an optional stand, as shown in the photo above.

I've also have 3 designs for note cards - one for friendship, one for Valentine's Day and one that would be perfect any time. These are great to tuck into a gift or bunch of flowers.

Blog_Hop_Banner

Hi there

Welcome to the first blog hop for the IDEAS (International Demos Exciting Artistic Stampin') team. Each month we will put together a Tutorial Bundle to give you a heap of inspiration for your crafting. There will be a theme for each month and this month it is Valentine's Day. We have 8 fabulous tutorials in this month's bundle, each consisting of at least one card and at least one treat packaging option and we're giving you a peek at our projects in this hop.

If you've come from Janey's blog, then welcome! If you're visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today!  You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the IDEAS Team by clicking on the NEXT button at the bottom of the post.

We all have a different perspective on Valentine's Day, with some crafting for a special someone and others taking the opportunity to show friends and family they are special. Either way, our projects are not just for Valentine's Day - you can change up the greetings and colours and use them for many other occasions too.

There are more than 20 cards and treat packaging projects in the bundle, so this is fabulous crafting value.

Each tutorial features at least one card and one project, some include multiples. There are over 20 Valentine cards and treat holders included in this month's bundle! CASE-ing the Catty - Sale-a-bration

CTC_Blog_Banner_edited

Hi there

This week the CTC Crew are taking inspiration from the Sale-a-bration Catalogue for the first time. Not got your own copy of the Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogues yet? If you are located in Australia, just leave your details here and I would be happy to pop a set in the post for you.

There are just so many great products available to earn for FREE during the Sale-a-bration promotion that runs until 31 March 2018. When you spend $90 or more (before shipping) you get to choose one of 11 great options. If you spend $180 or more (before shipping) there are 2 additional fabulous options to choose from, including the 'Celebrate You' Thinlits Dies. I'm really looking forward to getting those. I can honestly say there isn't a product that I don't love this year and there are some great samples to help you get started with your freebies.

You may have come from visiting Sandra's blog, but if you are visiting me, you can start your journey here and continue by clicking on the buttons at the bottom of the post.

This week, I couldn't go past the super cute 'Party Pandas' stamp set and I've used the card on the right, in the photo above, as my inspiration. I'm sure this is going to be the most popular pick from the Sale-a-bration catalogue this year. It is just so flexible for practically any celebratory occasion and they are just so darn cute!

Stampin' Up! Party Pandas & Painted with Love DSP - Judy May, Just Judy Designs

I've stayed close to the layout this week, but changed things up by using several of the coordinating designs from the 'Painted with Love' Speciality Designer Paper. My card base is Whisper White and I've added a layer of Gold Foil over the top. I've chosen the 'painterly' design as the background for my art piece and layered it onto a card stock base, as I've popped up the entire panel onto the Gold Foil, I wanted it to be firm. My first banner is in Melon Mambo, dry embossed with the new 'Simple Stripes' embossing folder and the second uses the pretty hearts design which is the reverse side of the main piece.

I wrapped the white Baker's Twine around the art piece before adding the Powder Pink stitched circle that my sweet little panda sits on. If you want a rich black for your panda, then you can't go past the Basic Black Archival ink. If you get any lighter areas, you can touch them up with the Basic Black marker as it blends perfectly without being noticeable. I strongly recommend you give the stamped image a blast with the heat gun before you start fussy cutting, as the Archival ink takes a while to dry and it will smudge. I masked off the little heart on the envelope, so I could add the Melon Mambo enamel heart instead. It is a little fiddly as it is so tiny.

Up to this point, the card could have been for a birthday, get well, just because or thinking of you occasion, but I decided to turn it into a Valentine's Day card. My white writing panel sits on a mat of Melon Mambo and I've added a small strip of the designer paper at the bottom and topped it with a narrow strip of gold foil. In the centre I have stamped the watercolour heart from the new 'Heart Happiness' stamp set in Melon Mambo. The heart image works well  with the style of the designer paper and I added the Valentine greeting from the 'Bloomin' Love' stamp set over the top in the Basic Black Archival ink.

The Art with Heart team lead by Claire Daly, is a group of more than 80 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from across Australia. You have until 6am ESST on 3 February 2010 to leave your comments and only those who are not Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators are eligible to win the Blog Candy. Now settle in for the ride and be inspired to make something special for your Valentine this year.

The card I have for you is simple but vibrant using black, white and red card stock with the heart image from the Always stamp set. The heart has been embossed white on Basic Black card stock and then embossed black on Whisper White card stock and cut out. The white heart has been popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. The jumbo pewter eyelets were set with the fabulous Cropadile. The sentiments are from the Chit Chat Rub-ons currently in the Summer Mini catalogue.
