CASE-ing the Catty - Mix & Match Ephemera
March 23, 2025
Hi there
Welcome to CASE-ing the Catty for this week.
If you've come from visiting Kathryn, then welcome! If you're visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today! You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the button at the bottom of the post.
This week we are CASE-ing from the Mix & Match projects on pages 14-15 in the 2025 January-April Mini Catalogue. These sweet projects have been created with the Mix & Match Ephemera packs on page 13. There are card bases and envelopes, greetings and 3 choices of ephemera for different occasions. This is a great way to craft without needing a lot of tools, so great if you are travelling or getting started on your crafting journey. All you need is adhesive of your choice and of course Dimensionals to well, add dimension! The greetings cover all occasions and you get both white text on black and black text on white for different looks.
I chose the project above from page 15 of the 2025 January-April Mini Catalogue for my inspiration. I decided to use the beautiful Heirloom Arrangements Kit for my cards today. This kit is a WHOLE BOX of beautiful ephemera with card bases, envelopes, labels, beautiful printed pre-cut decorative elements, an ink spot and stamp set. It will make 8 unique cards if you use the included guide, or you can use it as a big box of goodies and let your imagination run riot. I couldn't quite do that, as I'm CASE-ing the card above, but you get the idea!
For this card, I have used one of the pink card bases with vintage text on it and then took another card base with the pink cross hatch design and cut the front off. I cut the piece down and added it to a Pecan Pie mat with a tiny border then popped the panel up on the card base.
I selected various die cuts and then loosely arranged them on the background with the focus being on the right side as in the sample project. The lovely long floral branch in the background is a vellum die cut also from the kit. I popped up the greeting from the Greetings For All Mix & Match Ephemera pack on the left side as it was a bit busy on the right. I finished with some copper sequins from the Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins and Linen Thread tied around the banner and finished with a bow.
For the second card, I was inspired by the samples on page 15 using the lovely lattice frames from the Birthday Treats Mix & Match Ephemera Pack, so to create something similiar I used the lattice die from the Linked Together Dies. I first die cut a rectangle from Basic White Thick with one of the decorative Textured Notes Dies and then cut the lattice panel from it, which I set back into the piece and secured with tape on the reverse. I popped up the framed lattice on 1mm foam pads and then layered the chosen die cuts on the right side of the card. I added some ribbon and a twine bow to the floral tag and then popped up the sentiment and floral bouquet at different heights. I finished with a trio of bronze sequins.
I hope you will take a second look at the Heirloom Arrangements Kits as the photos in the Online Store really don't do it justice.
