Colour Matched Printing
If you have a computer and colour printer available, then they are great aids to use in conjunction with your other craft tools for your card making and memory keeping. There are times when it is convenient to print some text on your computer, whether it be a verse for the insert of a card or when you don't have a stamp with the exact wording you want.
You can colour match the text to the Stampin' Up! colours really easily by entering the RGB (Red/Green/Blue) code when selecting the colour of the font in Microsoft Word and other word processing programs. It may sound complicated, but it is really easy and widens the scope of your crafting arsenal.
To use the RGB colours in Microsoft Word or a similiar program, highlight your text first (shown with grey shading) and click on the down arrow next to Font Colour icon and select 'More Colours'.
Another box will pop up and you then select the second tab labelled 'Custom'. Enter the 3 sets of numbers for the RGB code. You can see the new colour in the box on the right labelled 'New'. If you're happy with the colour, select OK.
Copic Colour Matches
Stampin' Up! now have the fabulous Stampin' Blends alcohol markers available in 22 of the 50 available colours. Using these markers for your colouring will provide you with an exact match with other Stampin' Up! products. However, if you have a stash of Copic alcohol markers or want to use a matching colour for the other 28 Stampin' Up! colours, then I have provided my best match for the Copic colour. Additional Copic colours are released each year, so better matches may become available over time.
