IDEAS Blog Hop - Colour Me Happy!

This month is all about colour; the new 2023-25 In Colors, the new Core Colours and favourite colour combos. We have a great 77-page bundle this month with 14 tutorials that include cards, fancy fold cards and 3D decor, gift packaging and gift card holders.

I have used the Bright & Beautiful Suite Collection featuring the new Core Colours for my bold and bright Slimline Tri-fold card and coordinating gift box with a fun balloon shaker element on the lid. Together or separately, these projects are perfect for a celebratory occasion.

This month we are showcasing lots of ideas and techniques for using up scraps. If you’ve been crafting for a while, you know how quickly your off-cuts or ‘scraps’ build up. We are showing you ways to use your scraps to create delightful projects and make your craft supplies go further.

This month we are showcasing the wonderful coordination in a suite of products. A suite brings together a group of coordinating products to provide everything you need to create lovely projects. To make it super easy, you can order all the products with a single item number!

This month is all about Loving Sale-a-bration. Yes, it's THAT time of the year again! We have a huge 74-page bundle with 14 tutorials using all but one of the Sale-a-bration products that you can choose for FREE with a qualifying order from 5 January - 28 February 2023.  There is a heap of inspiration with each tutorial having at least one card and a 3D project. 

I've chosen 2 of my favourite Sale-a-bration products - the ‘Adorable Owls’ stamp set and ‘Dandy Designs’ 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper pack. The images from Adorable Owls are quite simply - adorable! They are quick to colour and you can use them for any occasion. I’ve coordinated them with the Dandy Designs DSP, which is a fabulous pack of 48 sheets with 4 each of 12 double sided designs in mainly pastel colours (Balmy Blue, Calypso Coral, Fresh Freesia, Petal Pink) with a few pops of brights (Granny Apple Green & Mango Melody). The small designs are perfect for card making and backgrounds.

I’ve created a fun box with a window to show a peek of what is inside. The lid sits inside the box and opens at the bottom with a thumb notch and is hinged at the top. The box is 6 1/2” x 4 5/8” x 1 1/4” (16.5cm x 11.8cm x 3.2cm) and fits standard C6 envelopes and full-sized cards. You could also choose to use it as a gift box with a coordinating card as the size makes it suitable for a lot of not-so-small gifts or treats.  You can see more photos by clicking on the Etsy link below.

This month is all about cutting tools and techniques - fussy cutting, paper piecing, die cutting and punches to create lovely projects for you. 

I’ve created a fab little bag for treat/gift packaging using a single sheet of 12” x 12” patterned paper. Decorate and embellish to suit any occasion; you can keep a few on hand as they fold flat and take up very little space. They are perfect for a holiday or thank you treat/gift for teachers, neighbours, colleagues and your children’s friends; you can even hang them on the Christmas tree! The finished size is 5” x 5 1/2” x 3/4” (12.7cm x 14cm x 1.9cm) when standing. The card measures 5” x 5” (12.7cm x 12.7cm) and fits into one of pockets in the bag and includes an optional gift card holder. The gingerbread cookie fits into the pocket, too!
