Freshly Made #90

Hi there

Today I have a very CAS card for this week's great Freshly Made #90 sketch from Linda C. I have used some more of the new products from the forthcoming Annual Catalogue.  First of all, here is the sketch:

FMS_90
The image on my card is from one of the great new Hostess sets from the Annual Catalogue, called 'Simply Sketched'. It has 3 lovely line images that are perfect for colouring and 3 sentiments in a lovely classic font.

The card base is one of the new In Colours - 'Baked Brown Sugar', which works well with the Soft Suede DSP that has been layered on top. The image is framed in 'Crisp Cantaloupe', another new In Colour and the sentiment is trimmed in 'Calypso Coral'. The image is coloured with Copics, colour matched.

Freshly Made #89 & Sneak Peaks

Hi there

Today I have a card for this week's Freshly Made #89 sketch by Rita. It is a great sketch and one I'm sure I will use again. Here it is:

FMS_89
I have taken the opportunity to do some colouring with this fabulous Noah's Ark stamp - 'Two by Two'.  I have used the MDS Stamp Brush to print it onto Blending Card and coloured it with Copics. This is such a great option for line images.

I also have a couple of sneak peaks of items from the new Annual Catalogue that is launched in Australia on 2 July.  Before we get to that, here is the card:

Freshly_Made_89
The first sneak peak is the gingham flag, which is a fabulous new Gingham wheel stamp, which I have stamped  in Strawberry Slush, one of the new In Colours.    The second sneak peak is the matching paler Strawberry Slush button.  This is made with the new 'Simply Pressed Clay', which you can colour and then press into a mold and pop out the button. There are 3 sizes and this is the middle size. It is a firm rubber texture when dry, but you can still put a needle through the holes to thread the twine through, as I have done.  Now you can create matching buttons for every project!   This is the inside of card, where I have used the Gingham wheel again.

Freshly Made #78

Hi there

Today I have another Easter card for you, featuring the very cute 'Everybunny' stamp set.  This one is based on  Freshly Made Sketches #78 from Jen M.

FMS_78I thought this pretty  'egg' paper from the 'Birds of a Feather' DSP was very appropriate for Easter.  The bunny's dress was paper pieced with another of the prints from the DSP.

For the inside, I have used the coordinating colours and another of the cute images from the 'Everybunny' set.

Freshly Made #73

Hi there

I hope you had an enjoyable weekend.  Today I have a card for this week's Freshly Made #73 sketch by Jen  B. using a few more of the new toys that I have acquired recently.  I have a number of friends and family having birthdays in the next 6 weeks, so I'm taking the opportunity to get organised. Here is the sketch:FMS_73
I have inked up the 'Stippled Blossoms' stamp set for the first time (how could I have waited this long??) using the small flower and leaves to frame the top of the panel. My half circle is actually a Labels framelit die cut as the sentiment didn't fit well into a circle.  The flowers are stamped in Primrose Petals and Summer Starfruit which were stamped off for the lighter colour and then normal strength for the highlight. These colours were taken from the striped designer paper from the Print Poetry Paper stack, one of my favourite items from the Occasions Mini Catalogue. To finish off, I used the new Needlepoint Border Embossing folder.

For the inside, I've used the same designer paper and added the scallop needlepoint embossed border at the top. I love the elegant finish it provides.

There are a lot of inspiring creations waiting to be seen, so check out the entries this week.
