Dynamic Duos #34 Thank You
January 10, 2013
Hi there
Today I wanted to make a bright and fun thank you card for family who hosted Christmas and especially for the 6 and 8 year old nieces Aisha and Amelia, who gave up their bedrooms for us. Pink and bling are always a good start, so I went with this week's Dynamic Duos #34 colour combo of Island Indigo and Melon Mambo. Get ready with your sunglasses for this one!
This is the first time I have inked up the (now retired) Hostess set 'Pedal Presents' and it is cute and fun. I have embossed the bike with Melon Mambo embossing powder on black cardstock which makes a bold statement. The flowers were coloured with Copics in matching colours and popped up in the basket. I helped the nieces plant seedlings into the flower boxes on the verandah of their cubbyhouse, so I hope this will remind them (it is the most amazing cubbyhouse I have seen!). It is also the first time I have used the Oval Accent Bigz die which is quite large, but it shows a nice amount of Island Indigo which I have embossed with a new (non SU) embossing folder called 'Posies' to continue the floral theme.
