This week we are taking inspiration from the Perennial Lavender section of the 2024 January-April Mini Catalogue, which is on pages 23-31.

I decided on the pretty Fresh Freesia card on the right, in the photo above, for my inspiration. However, it turned into a bit of a mash up of both of the projects shown above. You gotta go where the inspiration leads!

Stampin' Up! Painted Lavender Suite Collection | Judy May, Just Judy Designs

I started with a portrait Fresh Freesia card base and cut another layer and cropped it with the largest of the rectangular Perennial Postage Dies I cut it twice to extend the length a little so it fits better with the metric card base. Some Fresh Freesia ink was sponged around the die cut and I stamped the large leaf spray from the Painted Lavender stamp set in Lost Lagoon ink to provide a background to the Lavender posy. I did a little white splattering, but I think I got more ink on my hands than the card!

The lavender flowers were stamped in Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape and the stems in Shaded Spruce ink and both were cropped with the corresponding die. The lavender flowers were adhered to the stems and then gathered into a posy and I used some double-side tape to hold them together. The back flowers were adhered flat and the front ones were popped up in the middle to add dimension. I added a faux bow with the lovely Silver & White Sheer Ribbon over the top of lavender stems. Two of the Paper Butterfly Accents were adhered together to make it more robust and I painted it with Wink of Stella for some lovely sparkle.  The greeting from the Artistically Inked stamp set was stamped in Gorgeous Grape, fussy cut and popped up next to the posy. I finished with some Purple Fine Shimmer Gems on the butterfly and a trio on the panel. The finished panel was popped up on the card base.

For the inside I cut another Fresh Freesia panel with the Perennial Postage Dies and sponged around the edges with Fresh Freesia Ink. On the writing panel I stamped the large leaf spray in Lost Lagoon ink and added a lavender stem over the top.

This is utterly gorgeous, Judy. The beautifully soft ribbon, and butterfly accents, on the bouquet finish off the design to perfection. I love everything about this card. 💕
