CASE-ing the Catty - Last Hurrah for the Holiday Catty!

This week it is the last hurrah for the  2023 September-December Mini Catalogue, so we get to choose from any projects in the catty. 

I've chosen the project above from page 34 of the September-December Mini catalogue for my inspiration. A friend stamped some images from the Radiant Light stamp set for me and I'll finally get to use them.

I started with a Lost Lagoon card base and added one half of a Brushed Gold Card from the Brushed Gold Cards & Envelopes pack. I trimmed the width to fit on a standard metric card, and I reduced the length of the card base to accommodate the panel.

Two sets of the candles image were coloured with Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers and then fussy cut and adhered to the card base slightly offset for a more natural look. I've used Real Red for the candles to give it some pop and various shades of green for the foliage. The greeting banner was coloured in Daffodil Delight, fussy cut and popped up on Dimensionals. I finished with a trio of gold sequins.

For the inside, I have a Basic White writing panel and in the bottom corner I've added a set of 2 candles that I fussy cut from centre of the image. This provides a nice selection of foliage surrounding the candles.

This is a simple card to put together, if you are up for some fussy cutting!

IDEAS Blog Hop - We're Cut Out to Be Friends!

I'm back with the IDEAS (International Demos Exciting Artistic Stampin') team this month to share more fabulous projects. We are a group of international demonstrators who create a Tutorial Bundle each month to give you, our customers and readers inspiration for your crafting.

This month our theme is We're Cut Out to be Friends and it's all about cutting - die cutting, fussy cutting, using punches as well as the trusty trimmer. I designed this classically elegant silver and white card and box envelope, as the flowers are very dimensional (although the photo doesn’t show this particularly well).
