Heart of Christmas - Week 14

Blog_Banner

Hi there

Welcome to another week of Heart of Christmas. Each week, the talented ladies from the Art with Heart team will  bring you inspiration for your holiday craft projects.

It's been a busy week, so I have created a simple card with the Traditions of St. Nick designer paper doing the heavy lifting.

I started with a Thick Basic White card base and added a layer of the red plaid paper from the Joy of Christmas pack to provide a contrast to the muted St. Nick in his green coat.  I cropped St. Nick from the paper with my trimmer and added a narrow border of Garden Green. I added the panel to a piece of Basic White, intending to stamp the greeting at the bottom. However, the panel was a bit narrow for the greetings I wanted to use, so I added the strip of Garden Green at the bottom. I stamped my favourite greeting from the Wishes All Around stamp set in Real Red and fussy cut it and popped it up on the Garden Green panel.

To add some more interest, I roughly cut another St. Nick image from the paper and adhered it to Basic White card stock and then fussy cut it and popped it up over the panel. I cropped some stars from Gold Glimmer using the Cracker & Treat Box Dies and added them to the top of the trees and finished with a trio of gold Festive Pearls.

For the inside I have a mat of Garden Green and a strip of the red plaid at the bottom. I fussy cut a tree from the paper and added it to the writing panel with a Gold Glimmer star on the top.

This month our theme is Spread The Sparkle and we have 13 fabulous tutorials in our 58 page bundle with a wonderful range of Christmas crafting projects with added 'sparkle' for you to enjoy. We are also celebrating 5 years of the IDEAS Tutorial Bundle, so we have incorporated '5' into our projects as well.

Stampin' Up! Luxe Christmas Gift Tags | Gift Box of Tags | Tutorial Available | Judy May, Just Judy Designs

Christmas crafting is about gifts from the heart and a beautiful gift tag can make even a small gift extra special.  I've designed 5 shiny, sparkly gift tags (and some extra samples to show different colour ways as well) that will add extra joy to your gift giving this holiday season and a contemporary take on traditional Christmas colours.  They are fun to create and make a lovely pre-Christmas gift, so I’ve included a pretty gift box to store or gift your tags, too.  The box will fit 10 tags and more if you ‘top and tail’ them to spread the bulk, as they are quite dimensional. The finished box is 4” x 5” x 1 1/2” (10.2cm x 12.7cm x 3.8cm) and would also be perfect for gifting treats or other small items. You can see additional pics by clicking on the link below.
