Heart of Christmas - Joy of Christmas

Blog_Banner

Hi there

Welcome to another week of Heart of Christmas. Each week, the talented ladies from the Art with Heart team will  bring you inspiration for your holiday craft projects.  My gosh, can you believe it is already week 1o!

The Joy of Christmas DSP is one of my favourites of the offerings for the holidays this year. I've used almost all of the prints apart from the beautiful large scale print, so this week it was my mission to use the 6" x 12" panel I had left from a team paper share.

I wanted a really simple layout that would let the paper be the hero. I cut the panel into 3 card front pieces and adhered to them to Shaded Spruce card bases, which was the option I liked best. I decided on a strip of Gold Foil as a background for the NOEL and adhered the letters flat so I could pop up the fussy cut 'Joyous'. I liberally sprinkled gold sequins to tie in with the Gold Foil.

For the inside, I have a strip of the red plaid paper at the bottom and the writing panel above. I partially stamped the spray from the Joy of Noel stamp set and coloured it with Stampin' Blends.

Wow, that gold foil strip really packs a punch with added glamour, Judy. I can imagine the shine! A great set of festive cards.

You have definitely let the paper be the hero in these beautiful cards Judy. Each of the variations of the sentiment look fabulous popped up on the gold but my favourite would have to be the alternating one.

Andrea Sargent

Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful. I adore your set of cards Judy. Your colour variations of NOEL works brilliantly with the DSP and layout. xxx

Such pretty paper, and it looks lovely with gold sequins scattered around, Judy. The stamping inside your card looks lovely. (The photo hasn't loaded, but I could see it when I clicked on the icon.)

Your cards highlight the DSP perfectly. The gold touches are a great way to finish off the cards.

Oh really lovely cards Judy. I love the split layers with the gold layer in the middle. I also like the inside of your card with the red plaid and coloured greenery.

Beautiful cards Judy, great idea to use a gold panel with the lovely Joy of Christmas DSP
