Stampin' Up! All About Autumn

This week we are taking our inspiration from the All About Autumn Suite on pages 42 - 47 of the Mini Catalogue. I know for us in Australia, we are in Spring and heading to Summer, so Autumn is long way from our thoughts. However, that doesn't matter so much when you look at the possibilities of the beautiful All About Autumn 6" x 6" Specialty Designer Series Paper. On one side are photographs of lots of outdoorsy things, plus books, textures and woodgrain looks and on the other are beautiful small designs with Copper Foil detailing. These are suitable for many occasions and they look very lush. Overall, I think this is the perfect paper for masculine cards, but there are some pretty Moody Mauve designs with the copper foil detail as well.

When I saw the project above on page 42, I immediately thought it would make a great sympathy card. They are difficult to make when you need them, so I like to have a few in my stash.

I started with the geometric design in Copper Clay with copper foil accents for the background, covering the Very Vanilla card base. I cut down the sunburst design and matted it on Very Vanilla card stock so it would pop from the background. The panel was adhered with 1mm foam pads to add a little dimension.

The greeting is from the new Heartfelt Hexagon Bundle that has been released for World Cardmaking Day in October and is available for anyone to purchase right now. The greeting was stamped in Copper Clay ink and cropped with the smallest of the Deckled Rectangles Dies. I don't have the coordinating copper ribbon, so I used some copper trim from my stash coiled up behind the greeting. I finished with 2 sprigs of foliage cropped from the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper to work with the gold tones in the image.

For the inside, I have added a piece of Very Vanilla card stock with a narrow border and adhered some of the remaining starburst image on the left, with a narrow trim of the Copper Clay foiled design.
