Fitting Florets Designer Paper

Hi there

Fitting_Florets_DSP
I wanted to pop by and remind you that time is running out to purchase the gorgeous Fitting Florets Designer Paper.  This item is available until 30 November or while stocks last. It coordinates beautifully with the early release Framed Florets Bundle, that will continue to be available as part of the 2023 Mini Catalogue offering.

The images in the floral design in the top left of the collage above, can be fussy cut and there are 8 that can be cropped with the coordinating die from the Framed Florets Dies.

I designed the Stationery Box above with this gorgeous paper and you can see more details about it, on the original post here. Today, I want to share some card designs that I made to include in the Stationery Box.

I love these mini note cards that fit into the Stampin' Up! 3" x 3" envelopes. They are perfect to pop in with a small gift or a bunch of flowers. I've fussy cut the floral designs except for the one on the centre right, which was cropped with the coordinating die.

I've used quite a few of the designs from the Fitting Florets DSP on these note cards. The decorative oval and the smaller centre oval from the Framed Florets Dies work really well with this card size. I've embellished them with the both stamped and fussy cut images.

This month our theme is about 'Giving Thanks'. Being thankful is about showing appreciation for a kindness done to us, for the goodness in our life, the friendships and relationships that bring us joy. I like to show my gratitude with a handmade card or gift, so I have created this pretty stationery box with the Fitting Florets Collection

Stampin' Up! Fitting Florets Stationery Box | Judy May, Just Judy Designs

The box contains much more than it would appear from the size and I've put every inch of space to good use.  It contains an assortment of full sized cards, note cards and mini 3” x 3” cards/tags all with envelopes, plus helpful accessories such as a sticky note pad, calendar, note book, pen and postage stamps - everything someone would need to keep in touch with loved ones. The finished box is 4 3/4” x 6 1/2” x 2 1/2” (12.1cm x 16.5cm x 6.3cm).  A beautiful thank you gift, but it would also be perfect for someone going travelling, a loved one in aged care, as a Christmas gift, or just for yourself, so you can enjoy this pretty box on your desk and have a selection of cards at hand.

We're taking inspiration from a favourite stamp set this week.  I have quite a few that I really like, but somehow they haven't seen the light of day yet, so I decided to pull the Amazing Year stamp set out.  It has a great selection of birthday greetings to choose from and the lovely bouquet of flowers.

The photo above is the sample project from page 28 of the 2022-23 Annual Catalogue that I'm using for inspiration.

I decided on a square card for my version, which I made  12cm x 12cm (4 3/4" x 4 3/4"). It is a nice size and not too big to require extra postage.  I added a layer of the pretty ombre Tahitian Tide Glimmer Paper onto the Thick Basic White card base. The glitter is super fine and very sparkly and I hope you can see a little of that in the photo.  For the centre panel, I've used one of the prints from the 2022-24 Designer Series Paper Assortment with a mat of white, so it pops against the background.  Instead of a banner, I have wrapped a double layer of the 1/4" White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon around the panel and finished with a bow on the edge. The centre panel was popped up on the card base with Dimensionals, as they stick really well to the glimmer paper.

The bouquet image was coloured with Stampin' Blends Markers using Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green. The image was fussy cut and popped up on the Basic White pierced circle cropped with the Stylish Shapes Dies. The greeting from the Amazing Year stamp set was stamped in black and I fussy cut it before using the Tahitian Tide Stampin' Blend marker to colour it. It gives it a less intense colour than using the card stock.

For the inside, I have a mat of Tahitian Tide for the writing panel and I stamped the greeting from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set in the centre. I coloured and fussy the bouquet again, cropping the stems so it looks more like they are in the garden.
