This week we are CASE-ing a masking project. There are a number of masking techniques, but I decided to use the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks for my card this week.

I'm using the lovely project from page 65 of the 2022 January - June Mini Catalogue, shown above, for the inspiration for my card.

There are 6 masks in the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks pack and I've used the strings of leaves to create a background for my art panel. Place the mask over your panel of Basic White card stock and use sticky note or washi tape on the edges to hold the mask in place. I used a Blending Brush and Granny Apple Green ink to create the design, but you can also use sponge daubers. I suggest you start with a light layer of colour and then keep adding more until you are happy. I have gone for a fairly even colour all over, but you can create an ombre look with a light to dark shading or just colour part of the design for a more artistic effect.

We have 2 days left of Sale-a-bration in Australia, so I decided to use the Friendly Hello stamp set one last time to create the focus for my art panel. I've stamped the flowers and then coloured them with Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends markers and fussy cut them.  I cut a couple apart and then layered them on top of the scalloped rectangle. I stanped the splatters first in Freesh Fresh ink first and tucked the leaves in last. The greeting from the same stamp set was heat embossed in white on Gorgeous Grape card stock.
