This week we are CASE-ing a project from the Abstract Beauty Suite on pages 48-57 of the  2022 January-June Mini Catalogue.

I'm a bit time poor at the moment, so I've created a simple card using the sample above for my inspiration. I've turned it upside down so the designer paper is at the top and converted it to a stardard metric card.

Stampin' Up! Abstract Beauty DSP | Judy May, Just Judy Designs

I started with a panel of Basic White and stamped the friendship greeting from the Sale-a-bration Friendly Hello stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink at the base. I've used the same bright Night of Navy floral design from the Abstract Beauty Specialty Designer Paper pack as the sample, placing the angle at the bottom of card rather that at the top. Each sheet of paper in the pack has gold foil accents which appears as the centre of each of the pink flowers in this design.

I dry embossed the panel with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder and added the Magenta Madness decorative border that I die cut from one of the designs in the Ornate Layers Dies set and then the White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon finished with a double bow. I stamped the greeting again in Magenta Madness and then fussy cut the 'friend' and popped it up over the top of the stamped greeting. I finished with 3 of the Brushed Brass Butterflies.

For the inside, I used the other side of the angle cut from the Abstract Beauty Specialty Designer Paper with the same Magenta Madness decorative trim at the bottom of the writing panel.

This is a great layout and would be perfect to recreate in all sorts of DSP combinations. I love the simplicity yet striking effect. The little butterflies are the perfect finish. Might need to CASE you :)

Even though I'm not a pink girl, I love how you've picked up the Magenta in this paper - it looks really great!!! Gorgeous card as always.
