CASE-ing the Catty - Mini Catalogue
January 16, 2022
Hi there
Welcome to CASE-ing the Catty for this week!
If you've come from visiting Sandra, then welcome! If you're visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today! You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the buttons at the bottom of the post.
This week we are CASE-ing a project of our choice from the 2022 January-June Mini Catalogue.
I've used the card above for my inspiration. It is a fairly simple card using the lovely Flowing Flowers stamp set. This is a DistINKtive™ style stamp set, so there is a lot of built-in shading with just one impression of the stamp. It has 6 sentiments in great font combos as well.
I've stayed close to the layout, stepping it up with some extra layers, textures and embellishments. I started with a Thick Basic White card base and added a layer of Polished Pink card stock that I dry embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
For the art panel I've stamped the smaller floral image with the leaves a few times and masked it to add leaves and some random splatters in other areas. The larger floral image was stamped separately with the Stamparatus using Polished Pink ink and I used a sponge dauber and Melon Mambo ink to add some extra colour in the heart in the heart of the flower, before fussy cutting and popping it up over the leaves. The art panel was adhered to a panel of Just Jade card stock leaving a narrow border.
The birthday greeting from the Blessings of Home stamp set was stamped in Polished Pink ink and I flagged the ends before adding to a mat of Just Jade card stock. I wrapped a few strands of white Baker's Twine around the art panel and finished it with a bow underneath the popped up greeting. The art panel was popped up on the Polished Pink mat and I added some extra fussy cut leaves under the large flower and finished with pearls in the large flower, on the greeting and under the twine.
I've kept the inside simple, with a mat of Polished Pink card stock for the writing panel and the larger flower partially stamped in the corner.

Lovely card as usual Judy. Isn't the sentiment from Blessings of Home such a nice one?

Fabulous Judy. Your colour choice and elements are far superior to the original. The extra layers just bring this beauty to life. Love it.
