CASE-ing the Catty - 2021 July-December Mini Catalogue
December 19, 2021
Hi there
Welcome to the final week of CASE-ing the Catty for this year!
If you've come from visiting my lovely friend Peta & Marvi, then welcome! If you're visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today! You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the buttons at the bottom of the post.
This week we have free reign to CASE from the 2021 July-December Mini Catalogue. This will be our last look at this Mini Catalogue as the new 2022 January-June Mini Catalogue commences on 4 January.
I have selected the sample project above from page 54 of the Mini Catalogue for my inspiration. The frame using the Cork 12" x 12" Specialty Paper caught my eye. I think we are all pretty much over Christmas cards, so I decided to finish the year with a sneak peek of some new products from the 2022 January-June Mini Catalogue.
I started with a piece of Basic White card stock and added the Balmy Blue checked design from the new Abstract Beauty 4" x 6" Specialty Designer Paper. It is a pack of 48 sheets the perfect size for card making. I just trimmed a little from the bottom and it was ready to adhere. There are lots of fun designs and I can see that I'm going to use this one a lot. I cut my frame from the Cork Specialty Paper using two of the Stitched Rectangles Dies nested together. This paper is quite thin, so I adhered it to a piece of Crumb Cake card stock first, so it would be more robust when I popped it up. I stamped some of the spatters in Misty Moonlight ink before adhering the frame.
I used the large daffodil image from the new Daffodil Daydream stamp set, which has the coordinating Daffodil Dies to crop the images. The image was coloured with Stampin' Blends and I lightly colour the centre areas of the image with Balmy Blue, so it would blend better with the Balmy Blue background. I stamped and coloured the daffodil at the top a second time and fussy cut it and popped it over the top for extra dimension. The 'thanks' was die cut using the new Amazing Thanks Dies. I chose to use it with optional shadow to make it stand out a bit more against the cork.
For the inside, I have a Balmy Blue mat for the writing panel and a strip of the cork paper at the bottom. I've stamped and coloured the smaller Daffodil image in the Daffodil Daydream stamp set and fussy cut it on the line.
