Hi there
Welcome to another week of CASE-ing the Catty!
If you've come from visiting Rachel, then welcome! If you're visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today! You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the buttons at the bottom of the post.
This week we are taking inspiration from an embossing project. It could be dry embossing with embossing folders or masks or heat embossing with its gorgeous shiny, raised finish.
I've chosen a project using dry embossing, as I think it is the quickest and easiest way to add texture and interest to a card. Stampin' Up! have a huge range of embossing folders for all different styles of cards. This is a really classic layout, with lots of white space and the lovely texture of the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder.
This weekend we had the annual Stampin' Up! OnStage event, although it was online rather than in person. One of the perks was having the opportunity to access the Blessings of Home Bundle from the upcoming 2022 January - June Mini Catalogue. This is comprised of the Blessings of Home stamp set and coordinating Flowers of Home Dies, together with the Heart and Home Designer Series Paper. If you like colouring (in any medium), then you will love the pretty floral images in this set.
I started with a thick Basic White card base and then cut another piece of Basic White slightly smaller and embossed the right side with the Meadow Moments Embossing Folder. This is a pack of 2 designs that are narrower than the standard, but the perfect size for this layout. I added a strip of the Fresh Freesia floral design from the Heart and Home DSP to the left before wrapping some Linen Thread around the panel and finishing with a double bow at the top.
I stamped the large floral image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured it with Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers. There is a coordinating die in the Flowers of Home Dies set to crop the image. I stamped the large flower again, coloured and fussy cut it to pop up on the large image. The floral image was popped up on the embossed panel. The greeting from the Blessings of Home stamp set was stamped in Misty Moonlight and I added a narrow border of the card stock at the bottom to give it a bit more definition. I finished with a trio of Fresh Freesia jewels on the small embossed butterflies.
For the inside, I have stamped and coloured part of the smaller floral image from the Blessings of Home stamp set and added a narrow strip of the Fresh Freesia designer paper on the right.
This photo shows the lovely embossed design from the Meadow Moments Embossing Folder.
