Heart of Christmas - Angels of Peace

Heart of Christmas Header 2021Hi there

Welcome to Heart of Christmas for 2021. Each week (until mid-December), the talented ladies from the Art with Heart team will  bring you inspiration for your holiday craft projects.

The lovely Angels of Peace stamp set arrived recently, so I have used it to create my card this week

Stampin' Up! Angels of Peace | Judy May, Just Judy Designs
I started by adhering a piece of the mottled blue design from the Beauty Of The Earth Designer Paper to a piece of Basic White. This paper has the look of a blue sky, so I thought it would be an appropriate background for my angel. I ran the panel through with the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder and then used a sponge dauber and Craft White ink to gently sponge over the music notes to help define them a little more.

The large angel was stamped in Night of Navy ink onto a piece of Basic White and the dress was coloured with Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends. I used a glue pen to add (retired) Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the wings for a lovely sparkle. The image was fussy cut on the line and popped up on the stitched greeting panel. I did want to use the 'hark the herald angels sing' from the For Unto Us stamp set, but its whereabouts escaped me today. I finished with a trio of rhinestones.

Your colouring of the Angel's gown is beautiful, Judy and I that is the perfect choice for the embossed background!

Caroline Manwaring

Just lovely Judy. Lovely soft colouring.

Rosa Leyden

Your card is divine and so beautiful Judy. Love the soft blue colours with the musical notes which makes for a dreamy card.

Tina Gillespie

Oh, how soft and pretty! The blues look amazing, especially that embossed background. An absolutely gorgeous card.

Ros Davidson

Your angel looks like she is floating in the sky on the music notes. Gorgeous colouring as always.

Clever thinking, to use that DSP as a sky-like background, Judy. It looks lovely, embossed with the music. The angel's glittery wings are a highlight of your card!
