Heart of Christmas - Evergreen Elegance
September 06, 2021
Welcome to Heart of Christmas for 2021. Each week (until mid-December), the talented ladies from the Art with Heart team will bring you inspiration for your holiday craft projects.
This week I decided to have a play with the Evergreen Elegance stamp set to create my clean and simple card. The stamp set has 3 pine tree images of different sizes as well as some lovely greetings.
I swiped a Balmy Blue ink pad across a panel of Basic White and then stamped the trees in the background in Just Jade ink, both full strength and stamped off. The tall pine tree was stamped in the foreground in Evening Evergreen ink and I added a trunk with a Early Espresso Stampin' Write marker. I cropped the panel to size with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
I popped up a gold foil star at the top of the tall tree and added Gold Metallic Pearls to give it a Christmas feel. The greeting from the Tidings & Trimmings stamp set was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink and cropped with the Stitched Rectangles Dies and popped up at the bottom. I added a strip of Balmy Blue patterned paper on the right side of the Basic White card base and adhered the art panel that was matted on Evening Evergreen card stock.

Those gold metallic pearls just make the tree pop and the tress in the background are just lovely and subtle

Beautiful card Judy. I have just purchased the Evergreen Elegance stamp set and you have really inspired me to start working with it.

This is such an elegant card Judy in a colour combination that I would not have thought to use, but you've pulled these colours together seamlessly, just perfect!

Judy I love the stamping of the trees in different shades of green and especially the Evening Evergreen tree embellished with the gold pearls. Adding the Balmy Blue ink to the panel looks fabulous.

Judy, what a lovely effect you achieved by swiping the Balmy Blue ink pad. I love the stamped trees that have created your forest scene and the narrow border of Evening Evergreen really makes the stitched panel pop! The metallic pearls are a lovely subtle touch of decoration on your tree.

Your card is so serene and peaceful! The soft blue and green are gorgeous, and the gold touches are fabulous.

Such a beautiful, serene card Judy. Just beautiful!

I really like that you used Just Jade for the background trees, and Early Evergreen for the tree in the foreground, Judy - great contrast. The gold pearls are a lovely touch. Whilst I wouldn't call your card clean and simple, it is beautiful!

I like the 3 different strengths of green trees and the second generation stamping. The metallic pearls are the perfect finishing touch for the focal tree.
