CASE-ing the Catty - Sale-a-bration!
August 08, 2021
Hi there
Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing the Catty!
If you've come from visiting Peta & Marvi, then welcome! If you're visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today! You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the buttons at the bottom of the post.
The 2021 July - December Mini Catalogue is now LIVE and you can earn fabulous FREE products with a qualifying ($90AUD order) during Sale-a-bration (3 August - 30 September 2021). Tonight the Crew are taking inspiration from the sample projects in the Sale-a-bration brochure.
I've chosen the card above for my inspiration, which uses the Delicate Dahlias stamp set. There are many layers of fussy cut outline images in the sample project, so for a change I chose to go in a simpler direction for my card. Warning: you might need your sunglasses, lol.
I started with a panel of Basic White and stamped the solid Dahlia image in Magenta Madness ink at the top left. My ink pad is juicy, so I used a tea spoon to temporarily push the ink to the bottom so I wouldn't lose all the lovely shading the image has. I stamped the outline image over the top in Melon Mambo ink. Some people find it easier to stamp the outline first and then the solid image over the top. Try both ways and see what works best for you. I certainly found it easier to stamp the outline of the leaves first as I couldn't get it lined up when I stamped the solid image first. The panel was dry embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
You can't see in the photo, but I used the Simply Scored tool to add texture to the black strip by scoring at 1/4" intervals, before adhering to the white panel. I added a touch of bling with the gorgeous Be Dazzling Specialty Paper, also from the Sale-a-bration brochure and then tied a couple of rows of White Baker's Twine and finished with a bow. I stamped the leaves in Old Olive ink with the outline in Mossy Meadow and arranged them around the stamped and fussy cut Dahlia, that was popped up over the top. The greeting from the Dressed to Impress set was stamped in black, fussy cut and popped up on the Dahlia. The finished panel was adhered to a Basic Black card base and for the final touch, a trio of In Color Jewels.

Bright is my 'thing' so I LOVE those flowers, and the way you've used a little sparkle to help them shine a little brighter.

Wow, a real stunner, Judy! This is my favourite card that I've seen with this stamp set. Bold and dramatic - I love it!
