I've been busy making a batch of thank you cards for my lovely customers. Hopefully some will be popping into mail boxes really soon.
I decided to use the cute Thoughtful Blooms stamp set and coordinating Small Bloom Punch. Both of these items you can earn for free with a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration (until 31 March 2020). It is right at the back of the Sale-a-bration brochure and easy to miss.
The Thoughtful Blooms stamp set is available to choose with a $90 order and the Small Bloom Punch is available with a $180 order. The good news is that if you are unable to get the Small Bloom punch during Sale-a-bration, it will be available to purchase in the next Annual Catalogue, so don't pass this stamp set by.
I started by choosing the 3 colours for the larger flowers - Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue and Lovely Lipstick. I stamped a strip of each colour with the outline image and then used the solid stamp to fill it in. I stamped off twice to get the light shade of each colour and used the Small Bloom Punch to pop them out. Because the stamps are Photopolymer, it is easy to line up the solid image over the top.
The leaf bracts were stamped 3 times in Granny Apple Green across the Whisper White panel, slightly lower each time. The tiny flowers were stamped in complementary colours and the greeting from Peaceful Moments was stamped at the top in Lovely Lipstick. Some of the Whisper White panels were put through the Sutble 3D embossing folder and some were left plain. I added a mat of Daffodil Delight and wrapped around some of the So Saffron Metallic Baker's Twine from the Sale-a-bration Metallic Baker's Twine & Sequins Combo Pack and finished with a bow. The panel was added to the Balmy Blue card base and finally, the flowers were popped up over the leaf bracts and I added a rhinestone to the centre of each.
For the inside, I stamped one side of the leaf bract across the bottom of the Whisper White panel in Granny Apple Green. I filled it in with the tiny flowers in the 3 colours and added it to a Daffodil Delight mat.
These cards use minimal supplies and no dies, but I'm really happy with how they turned out. Sometimes it is good to get back to basics and remind yourself that #simplestamping is fun.
