CASE-ing the Catty - Kids & Babies Section
December 01, 2019
Hi there
Welcome to another week of CASE-ing the Catty!
If you've come from looking at the lovely project on Shannon's blog, then welcome! If you're visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today! You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the buttons at the bottom of the post.
This week, we're taking a break from the Holiday Catalogue and CASE-ing the Kids & Babbies Section of the Annual Catalogue.
There are lots of cute samples in the Kids & Babies Section of the Annual Catalogue.
I've taken my inspiration from the sample above, although it may not look too much like it, lol. I've turned it from a portrait to a landscape card.
Today, I've used the brand new Painted Poppies stamp set from the upcoming January - June 2020 Mini Catalogue (previously called the Occasions Catalogue). I started with a Rich Razzleberry card base and added a layer of Sahara Sand card stock that has been dry embossed with the Mosaic 3D Embossing Folder and matted on Whisper White to leave a narrow border. I added a zigzag of Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon under my embellishment.
I enjoyed colouring the lovely floral images from the new Painted Poppies stamp set, using Roccoco Rose and Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends markers for the flowers and Granny Apple Green Blends for the leaves. There are coordinating dies to crop the flowers and smaller leaf, although I decided to fussy cut them on the line. The greeting from Itty Bitty Birthdays was heat embossed in white on Rich Razzleberry card stock and cropped with the smallest of the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I layered up all the elements onto a Nested Stitched Rectangle Die that I dry embossed first with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. I inished with some Frosted/Clear Epoxy Droplets and a tiny Silver Glimmer butterfly on the edge of the flower.
For the inside I have a Sahara Sand mat for my writing panel and I've partially stamped some sweet flowers along the bottom. Another stamp from the Painted Poppies set is a row of poppies, but I've just used the top inch or so of the stamp to create the border. I've coloured the flowers with Light Roccoco Rose and added a dash of Light Rich Razzleberry to the centres. The greeting from Itty Bitty Birthdays is stamped in Rich Razzleberry.
