Heart of Christmas - Week 2

Welcome to Week 2 of Heart of Christmas with the Art with Heart Stampin' Up! team.
Woohoo, only 1 week until the new Holiday Catalogue goes live to customers! There is still time to take advantage of the Extra, Extra, Extra joining promotion. Take first pick of all of the fabulous new products in the Holiday Catalogue and receive an additional $45 worth in your Starter Kit. Contact me if you are interested in joining my team.
This week I have opened the Peaceful Boughs Bundle for my card. This stamp set has traditional imagery of foliage and pine cones and 2 lovely greetings. There is a coordinating set of dies that include some additional frames for greetings. It was really difficult to photograph the card as the camera hones in on the foil and makes it really bright, when in real life it is much more subtle.
I've gone with a non-traditional colour combo of mostly neutral colours with gold foil accents. The card base is Sahara Sand and I cut another panel of Sahara Sand and stamped one of the smaller foliage images in Gray Granite ink around the edges. The cluster of dots were added next, stamped in Versamark and then heat embossed in gold. I ran the panel through the Big Shot with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, to add texutre. I've used 2 of the largest foliage dies and cut them in Gold Foil as the background. There are a number of options for the pine cones, but I've gone with a solid background of Soft Suede and the detailed die overlay in Champagne Foil.
The greeting was heat embossed in gold on Very Vanilla card stock and then cropped with a label die from the Beautiful Boughs Dies. It has a little diamond shaped hole at each end, so I threaded the Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon through and then popped up the label. I added a pop of colour with the little bird from the Well Written Dies cropped in Red Glimmer paper.
For the inside, I have a Gold Foil mat for my Very Vanilla writing panel. I've partially stamped the smallest of the foliage images in the corners in Gray Granite ink and added some more gold embossed dots.
All of the new products from the Holiday Catalogue will be available in my Online Store from 4 September 2019. If you don't have your own copy of the new Holiday Catalogue yet, then head to my 'Free Catalogues' page (tab at the top of the page) to register your details and I'll pop one in the post for you.
