Nature's Poem Masculine Birthday
April 14, 2019
Hi there
Tonight I'm still in Auckland, New Zealand after attending the fabulous Stampin' Up! OnStage Live event for the last 3 days. I've had the opportunity to do a bit of local sightseeing today and I head home to Melbourne tomorrow.
I'm sharing a card I made a while ago, that I CASE-ed from a fellow demonstrator, Rachel Woollard. I've changed up a few things but kept the layout the same. This is a great masculine card to have in your stash and the layout is super versatile as you can use different designer papers to change up the look.
I started with a piece of Gray Granite card stock the same size as the card base and ran it through the Subtle embossing folder for some background texture. Next came the strip of Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper and I chose the Cajun Craze design for a strong contrast with the Tranquil Tide leaves.
I wrapped some of the Braided Linen Trim around the matted Tranquil Tide panel and tied it in a knot and popped up the panel on foam pads. The greeting from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set was embossed in copper on Champagne Foil for a really lush look. I cropped it with the large tree die from the Nature's Roots Framelits to create a bold embellishment that was popped up on the Tranquil Tide panel. One of the copper leaf trinkets was adhered with a glue dot under the knot.
For the inside, I have a strip of the Tranquil Tide DSP down the left side of the writing panel and I've stamped some leaves in Crumb Cake ink down the right side. The panel was adhered to a Cajun Craze mat.
