CASE-ing the Catty - Sale-a-bration!
March 31, 2019
Hi there
Welcome to another week of CASE-ing the Catty. This is our very last week of Sale-a-bration for this year. I have really enjoyed creating with the Sale-a-bration free products and I definitely think it is one of the best ranges we have had. There is still time for you get your hands on them, as orders close at 11.50pm AEDT tonight (31 March). You can see ALL of the FREE product options in my Online Store.
If you've come from Peta's blog, then welcome! If you're visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today! You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the buttons at the bottom of the post.
We are taking our inspiration from the Sale-a-bration Brochures again this week and I am looking at this photo on page 15 of the main brochure.
Somehow I haven't managed to ink up the Lovely Lattice stamp set yet, even though it is one of the first that I chose to get. This sample in Petal Pink is very pretty, so I let the colour drive my creation this week.
My base card is thick Whisper White and I've added a panel of the very lovely Petal Pink vellum from the Floral Romance Specialty DSP as a background to the fussy cut floral image. It was fortuitously lying on my craft desk, so I put it to use. I recommend using a sponge to pick up a little Tombow glue from a Silicone Mat and then dab it around the edges of the vellum. Place the vellum onto the card and press lightly. You won't get unsightly adhesive showing through if you use this method. To add a bit of pop I have a band of Grapefruit Grove card stock at the edge of the vellum and I've carried it through to the birthday greeting at the bottom.
I have coloured the image with Petal Pink Stampin Blends markers, with a little Calypso Coral for the shading. I've used my favourite Granny Apple Green for the leaves and then fussy cut the image leaving only a narrow border. The image was adhered to the panel, popped up on Dimensionals.
For the inside I have a mat of Grapefruit Grove and a strip of the Petal Pink vellum at the base. I stamped part of the Lovely Lattice image again and coloured and fussy cut just the largest flower and the smaller attached flower. It is such a lovely image to colour.
