Art With Heart Easter Blog Hop

SWH_March_Banner

Hi there

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects with an Easter theme.  Don’t forget, Sale-a-bration ends on March 31st! There is still time to earn FREE product with purchase or even join our Stampin’ Up! team. Ask any of the girls on the hop for more details.

Tonight, I have 2 very different Easter cards for you. The first one uses the His Grace stamp set from the Occasions Catalogue together with the Cross of Hope Framelits dies for a simple, but elegant card celebrating the true meaning of Easter. I'm sure my Mum will love this.

Stampin' Up! His Grace - Judy May, Just Judy Designs, Melbourne

The base card is Gorgeous Grape and I have a narrow border of Silver Foil for the art panel. I stamped the sentiment at the top in Gorgeous Grape ink and the floral spray in Early Espresso ink and coloured it with Stampin' Blends Alcohol markers. To add extra texture and interest, I spritzed the reverse side lightly with water and ran it through the Subtle embossing folder.

The cross in Silver Foil was popped up and then the narrow cross in Gorgeous Grape was also popped up over the ribbon. The dove was silver embossed and I used a glue pen to add Dazzling Diamonds glitter and popped it up on the cross. I finished with a sprinkle of Clear Epoxy Droplets.

For the inside, I have a mat of Silver Foil for the writing panel and I have stamped and coloured the single flower either side of the sentiment.

My second card uses the sweet Fable Friends stamp set and the Large Letters Framelits to create this fun card I will send to our nieces for Easter with some chocolate treats.

I have added some Balmy Blue Gingham paper to a thick Whisper White card base with Lemon Lime Twist scalloped  and stitched trim on each side. The large letters were spritzed and run through the Subtle embossing folder and then adhered to a second layer to make them more robust.

The cute rabbit was stamped in Early Espresso ink and coloured with Stampin' Blends, fussy cut and popped up between the letters. The little flowers were punched from Sparkle Glimmer paper and I coloured the rhinestones to match. The 'EASTER' greeting was printed from my computer and I used the Rectangle Stitched dies to crop it. I don't think rabbits have blue eyes, but it does look cute!

Your cards are gorgeous, Judy! It's nice to see a religious Easter card, but I especially love your fun bunny card.
