Tonight we take our first look at the fabulous new Sale-a-bration Brochure. There is such a great range of products that you can earn for FREE, when you make a purchase of $90 or more between now and 31 March 2019. Who doesn't like free craft goodies! If you don't have your own copy of the Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration brochure yet, then leave your details on the Free Catalogues page on my blog and I'd be happy to pop one in the mail for you.

There is also such a fabulous range of samples to get you inspired to use the products and the card above is one that popped out at me when I first looked at the Sale-a-bration brochure. It uses the Lasting Lily stamp set from page 19. This is a set of 16 Photopolymer stamps, including 10 fabulous greetings to suit many occasions. This stamp set is a Level 2 product that you can earn for FREE when you make an order of $180.

Calla Lilies are often associated with funerals, but they are also popular for weddings and other occasions too.  I have a lovely pink one flowering in a pot at the moment, given to me by a friend after my knee surgery 15 months ago. I also didn't realise how many colours they come in (see more on that below). Lasting Lily is a distINKtive stamp set, so you get all of the amazing detail you see in my card below, with just one impression of the stamp. To get the maximum detail, you need a fine coverage of ink on the stamp. If you can see small ink bubbles on the stamp, then there is too much ink. Take a teaspoon and gently push the ink down into the foam pad. Don't worry, the ink will re-distribute itself when you close the ink pad.

I have stayed fairly close to the sample, but I've started with a Whisper White card base and I've popped up the Lemon Lime Twist gingham layer on Dimensionals. To do this, I recommend you adhere the gingham DSP to Whisper White card stock first, to make it more robust and then die cut the circle.

I stamped the Lily flowers in Melon Mambo and the stems in Old Olive and then fussy cut all of them, so I could positon and layer them for extra dimension. The greeting is from the Botanical Bliss stamp set and it was heat embossed in white on Melon Mambo card stock and popped up over the silver/white Baker's Twine.  I think it is a really flexible greeting to have in your stash and you can turn it into someting more specific such as a birthday or get well card by adding a sentiment on the inside. I finished with a sprinkle of rhinestones.

For the inside I have mat of Lemon Lime Twist for the writing panel and I stamped the stamp in Old Olive on the right. The small Lily flower was stamped in Melon Mambo and fussy cut and layered on the stem. At the base is a strip of spotted Melon Mambo designer paper. To finish I added a couple of super cute, tiny butterflies from the new Butterfly Beauty Thinlits.

I tried out a few other colour options and found the mid-bright colours show a good level of detail. I hope this chart gives you some inspiration for using the Lasting Lily stamp set.

gorgeous Card Judy, and I jsut love the detail on the inside, it's so elegant. Thanks so much for the colour chart. I found using the Needlepoint Nook suite which is also photopolymer and distINKtive that you do need to experiment with your own inkpads too to get the best detailed impressions as well. And the paler colours don't show off this feature to the same degree

Sandra Collett

These look great Judy. Another thanks for some options as I've not gotten that far yet, saved me a little work! Cheers

I thought I'd already commented on your projects but I can't see it. Love the different colours of your lilies. There is an amazing variety, and it gives artistic licence to take it even further I think. Lovely cards.

"A sprinkle of rhinestones'! Love it!! Great way to describe them. I love, love, love your card! The pink and lime are a great combo. I think this is the best card I've seen using that stamp set.

Beautiful CASE Judy, I love the colours you’ve chosen. There certainly is an art for getting the correct amount of ink on this stamp, thanks for the tip.
