Heart of Christmas - Week 6
September 19, 2018
Hi there
Welcome to week 6 of Christmas inspiration from the Art with Heart team. Just a reminder, that you can now purchase any of the fabulous products in the Holiday Catalogue from my Online Store. If you don't yet have your own copy of the Holiday Catalogue, then please do get in touch, as I'd love to pop one in the mail for you.
This week I'm inking up the Feathers & Frost stamp set for the first time. This lovely stamp set shown below is a set of 13 stamps with lots of different decorative elements and greetings.
My base card is Granny Apple Green and I've added another panel embossed with the Subtle Dynamic embossing folder. I have used the wreath image as the focus for my card; stamped in Early Espresso and coloured with my Stampin' Blends alcohol markers in Granny Apple Green and Real Red. The bird was stamped, coloured and fussy cut so it could be popped up in the centre. The art panel was layered onto a mat of Real Red and then popped up on the base card.
I used Stampin' Write markers on the scalloped greeting from the Flourish Filigree stamp set. Using the Stamparatus I was able to stamp multiple times to get the depth of colour I wanted from the markers. The image is punched out with the Pretty Label Punch and I popped it up under the wreath. The lovely bow in the Mixed Satin ribbon was added at the bottom of the wreath and some tiny rhinestones coloured with the Stampin' Blends was added to the label. You can see the details in the pic below.
For the inside, the mat for the writing panel is Real Red and I've added some of the red spotty washi tape from the Suite Season Speciality set at the bottom with a narrow strip of Granny Apple Green. In the top corner I masked and stamped a portion of the wreath and coloured it with Stampin' Blends. This was a tad fiddly to get just the piece I wanted, but I like the effect. To finish I added another coloured bird at the bottom.
Granny Apply Green and Real Red is a vibrant colour combo for Christmas.

What a fabulous colour combo - your card is so pretty!. The masking on the inside was worth the effort, as it looks so good.
