CTC_Blog_Banner_edited

Hi there

Welcome to another week of CASE-ing the Holiday Catalogue! This week the Crew are taking inspiration from the Joyous Noel section on pages 28-35.  Don't forget, if you are in Australia and don't yet have your own copy of the Holiday Catalogue, then please get in touch as I'd love to pop a complimentary copy in the post for you.

If you've come from Liz's blog, then welcome! If you're visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today!  You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the buttons at the bottom of the post.

This week, I'm taking my inspiration from green card above with the bauble, from page 34 of the Holiday Catalogue. I have taken the basic layout from this card to create my card using the Wishing You Well stamp set. This is a lovely stamp set that works for many occasions, so you will get heaps of mileage from it. It is a one of the new distINKtive style stamp sets that creates beautiful shading with just one impression of the stamp. Here is the stamp set, in case it passed you by.

I've created a birthday card using the pretty bouquet as the focus for my card.  My card base is Whisper White and I added some strips of the Highland Heather spotted designer paper on the sides. The birthday greeting from the retired Cottage Greetings stamp set was stamped in the centre of a panel of Whisper White card stock and then embossed it with the lovely Tufted embossing folder.

I stamped the bouquet in Tranquil Tide ink and added the flowers in Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight and cropped it with the Layering Ovals Framelits and layered it on a scalloped mat in Highland Heather.

For the inside, I partially stamped the bouquet in the top corner of the writing panel and added the flowers in Highland Heather and layered it on a mat of Highland Heather.

Here is a view from the top. The Tufted embossing folder adds a lovely soft texture to this card.

The card is so pretty, what a great colour choice. Love those mauve shades, both Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape. We are lucky crafters to have so much to choose from.
