Can you believe we are getting to that time of the year when we start to think about holiday projects such as Christmas cards, tags and gift packaging? I've decided it is never too early to start as the last few months of the year go so quickly and I'll be away for the first 2 weeks of November when I attend Stampin' Up!'s 30th Anniversary OnStage event in Orlando Florida (I'm very excited!).
So today, I've got a very clean and simple card to share with you, but I also think it is elegant in vanilla and (lots of) gold. It is an easy layout to make multiples of, if you use the Stamparatus stamping platform.
I've used a new stamp set from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue called 'Flourish Filigree' that includes both the diamond shaped filigree image as well as the lovely Christmas greeting that can be punched out with the Pretty Label Punch. I've heat embossed the filigree diamond in gold, added a 1 3/4" circle of Gold Foil to the centre and the ribbon detail and then popped up the punched greeting on top. Gold Foil strips were added to each end of the panel and then mounted onto the thick Very Vanilla card base.
The gold detail is very hard to photograph, but hopefully you get a sense of it in this closeup. It is such a detailed images, but embosses so beautifully.
For the inside, I have followed through with the same style and dimensions as the front panel with the Gold Foil down the sides. I have heat embossed the cute swag/flourish from the new 'Dashing Deer' stamp set in gold at the bottom of the writing panel.
