CASE-ing the Catty - Cool Treats

CTC_Blog_Banner_edited

Hi there

This week the CTC Crew are looking at the Cool Treats section of the Occasions Catalogue on pages 32-45. There are lots of great projects and products in this section, but I only had time to make one this week.

You may have come from looking at the lovely project  on Rebecca's blog, but if you are visiting me, you can start your journey here and continue by clicking on the buttons at the bottom of the post.

This week I have chosen to CASE the tag on the gift bag on the left side of the photo, turning it into a card instead.

This is the first time I've inked up the 'Cool Treats' stamp set and I loved it. It has a lot of mix and match elements and the best part is that there are framelits to cut them all out. I really like that framelits cut inside the stamped image so there is no border on the finished die cut.  I used the sprinkles design from the 'Tasty Treats' designer paper for the background and have taken the colours from the paper for easy coordination. The ice creams have been stamped off for the base colour and then the full strength ink used on the highlights.

I have added some of the Sprinkles Embellishments to the watermelon ice cream cone for a fun touch, as you can see in this closeup. I have picked out the white pearls and the square sequins. Isn't the detail in the cones great - these are just 2 of the options available to choose from.

I also stamped the 'birthday' part of the greeting again, fussy cut it and layered it over the stamped image for a nice 3D effect. The second part of the greeting is white embossed and popped up.

For the inside, I have used two of the designs from the Tasty Treats washi set at the base and an icecream cone with chocolate topping and sprinkles in the corner.
