CASE-ing the Catty - Sale-a-bration Again
February 26, 2017
Hi there
This week the CTC crew are taking inspiration from pages 12-15 of the Sale-a-bration brochure.
You may have come from looking at the beautiful project on Bronwyn's blog, but if you are visiting me, you can start your journey here and continue by clicking on the buttons at the bottom of the post.
This week I have chosen to case the great layout of this card on the left of page 12.
I've got 2 cards to share with you using this layout, which is really flexible. I had lots of ideas in mind and the cards came together quickly. The first one uses the floral die cut from the Flourish Thinlit dies over one of my favourite Stitched Shapes circles. The background is Crumb Cake embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder over the Rose Red base card. The photo doesn't do justice to the gorgeous Mint Macaron glimmer paper from the Glimmer Paper Assortment pack, that I have used for the flourish. This is one of the new Sale-a-bration options available to choose until 31 March.
This closeup pic shows up the colour of the glimmer paper.
For the inside, I have used some of the offcuts of glimmer paper to cut some leaves for the corner and a strip at the base for a simple finish.

Stamps | Cottage Greetings |
Card stock & Papers | Rose Red, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack |
Ink | Rose Red |
Accessories | White Sequins (Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit), Rhinestones Basic Jewels |
Tools | Woodgrain TIEF, Flourish Thinlit Dies, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Big Shot |
The second card also came together quickly. I have used the 'Up & Away' Thinlits dies and the coordinating 'Lift Me Up' stamp set for this card. This time, I have used the large cloud as my grounding element for the die cut balloon to sit on. The base card is Basic Gray with the Soft Sky layer embossed with the Elegant Dots embossing folder. I could easily have left it plain, but I quite like the background texture.
Here is a closeup of the detail in the balloon. This is such a great die and perfect for masculine cards.
For the inside, I added some of the retired striped washi from the Candy Cane Lane set at the base with a strip of Night of Navy to trim it and the smaller balloon stamped, coloured and die cut in the top right corner.

Your flourish certainly show off the glimmer paper Judy. It certainly is a versatile layout isn;t it. I love how you always decorate the inside of your cards and share that- your little balloon inside is so sweet.

Such glimmery goodness for both cards. Love what you have done with the sketch.
