CASE-ing the Catty - Love Blossoms
March 06, 2016
Hi there
Welcome to this week's CASE-ing the Catty blog hop where we are looking at the Love Blossoms section of the Occasions catalogue.
You may have come from Rebecca's blog, but if you are visiting me, you can start your journey here by clicking on the buttons at the bottom of the post.
My card today was inspired by the sample at the rear of the photo on page 16.
I have started with a similar layout but used the Rose Wonder stamp set for my focus image. The rose was coloured using the 'floating reinker' technique on Shimmery White card stock using Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo and Rose Red reinkers. The leaves were stamped on Mossy Meadow card stock and both flowers and leaves were fussy cut. The background designer paper is one of the Crumb Cake designs from the 'Love Blossoms' 6 x 6 Paper Stack.
For the inside, I have kept it very simple, with a strip of retired Crumb Cake washi tape and a little flower set to finish.

What a beautiful rose it is? the rose bundle is well worth the money and time. So why haven't I ordered mine? Too many other things I want and need. But, my next order will definitely have the rose wonder bundle and the numbers of years bundle. The bundle I had to have was the botanical gardens. I still tear up when I see it in the catalog. Thank you so much for sharing! Ok, I'll show how dumb I am. What the 'floating reinker'? Never heard of it. New demonstrator to SU!

Gorgeous Judy, I love the floating reinker technique though I've never had much success with it myself.Your rose is beautiful.

Wow your colouring is amazing! I think I might try this technique. How have you made it so incredibly smooth?

It amazes me the number of ways these Rose Wonder stamps can be used. Your card is perfect, Judy. I stared for ages at the leaves and then read your comments about fussy cutting - you had me tricked!!!
