An Easter Blessing
March 25, 2016
Hi there
On this Good Friday, I want to share the card I made for my Mum this Easter. This card represents the meaning of Easter for her and I'm really glad that she liked it.
I started by printing the 'Easter Blessings' greeting on the Whisper White card stock using my computer and printer as I didn't have a suitable stamp to use. Next, I heat embossed the sunburst from the 'Kinda Eclectic' stamp set with clear embossing powder. Using the Circles Collection framelits, I die cut a mask to put over the sunburst so that I could control the extent of my sponging. I started with Blushing Bride on the outer edges and then Rose Red from the centre and finally some more Blushing Bride to achieve a subtle transition of colours.
I layered the cross from the 'All God's Grace' stamp set over the smallest of the silver foil doilies. The cross was heat embossed in silver and fussy cut and finished with the tiny silver glimmer heart from the Bird Builder punch. I added a little banner with a string of pearls and the silver embossed dove to finish. The front panel was matted onto Rose Red card stock and then popped up with foam pads onto the Sahara Sand base card. Unfortunately, the photo doesn't really do it justice.
For the inside, I printed the verse using my computer and printer before adding some silver washi tape at the bottom and a Petite Petals flower.
