Art with Heart Blog Hop - Colour Challenge
October 15, 2015
Hi there
Welcome to the Art With Heart Team Blog Hop for October. This month we have a colour challenge for you.
I have to say that I found this set of colours more than a bit challenging. I nearly passed, but I pushed outside my comfort zone and managed to come up with a couple of cards.
You may have come from the blog of the lovely Kathryn Ruddick, but if you are visiting me, you can join the trail using the button at the bottom on this post.
For the first card, I used the Hostess set 'A Whole Lot of Lovely', stamping the cute little solid floral image all over to create a background panel.
I chose Watermelon Wonder for the base card and sentiment to bring it together. This is a very simple layout, but works well with the busy background.

Stamps | A Whole Lot of Lovely |
Card stock & Papers | Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White |
Ink | Pink Pirouette, Blackberry Bliss, Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder |
Accessories | White Organza Ribbon, Rhinestones Basic Jewels |
Tools | 2" Circle punch |
For my second card, I have used the 'You've Got This' stamp set, water colouring the floral image in Watermelon Wonder and Mint Macaron and fussy cutting. I used a touch of Crumb Cake (as a neutral) in the centre of the flower as well.
I think I prefer the second one, but I'm glad I gave it a go!

Lovely Judy - I nearly used the same stamps as you but couldn't make them work. Yours are beautiful.

Both are beautiful Judy, but the first is really my favourite.

I'm amazed at how the same four colours give a completely different look over two cards. Great job as always Judy.

I think they are both lovely but the second one is my favourite too! The pink and watermelon look great together.
