CASE-ing The Catty Blog Hop - Make a Difference!
September 04, 2015
Hi there
Tonight the CASE-ing the Catty Crew are looking at the 'Sprinkles of Life' stamp set which is this year's Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set. Stampin' Up! has been supporting this charity for more than 10 years and has contributed over $1,000,000.00. These funds support families who need to stay away from home for their children to receive medical treatment, including in Australia. For each purchase of this stamp set, Stampin' Up! donates $3 AUD to RMHC. It's a great stamp set and a great cause, so I hope you will consider purchasing it and help make a difference!
You may have come from Rebecca's blog, but if you are visiting me, you can continue the journey by clicking on the button at the bottom of this post.
'Sprinkles of Life' is an incredibly versatile stamp set and unfortunately I only had time to make one card. I've created a fun shaker birthday card featuring an apple tree and a bunch of apples that you need to get into the basket on the corner. I saw this idea at Convention and have been wanting to try it out. I'm sure there is a name for these games that I remember from childhood. To add some extra interest you have to manoeuvre around the apples on the tree!
It was difficult to photograph the card due to the reflection off the window sheet, which you can see on the right hand side.
I created a taller tree by stamping a second tree at the first junction of branches. If you carefully wipe off the bottom edge of the tree after you have inked it, it meshes together quite well.
