Father's Day Blog Hop

Hi there

~AWH_Blog_HopToday I'm participating with some of the ladies from the 'Art with Heart' Stampin' Up! team to present some fabulous Father's Day ideas to inspire you. We also have our brand new 2015 Holiday Catalogue available from 1 September, with some amazing Christmas inspiration for you. Be sure to contact me to request a catalogue today!

You may have come from Claire's blog, but if not, you can start here and then follow the trail to the next blog by clicking on the button at the bottom of this post.

I have a pretty limited set of male oriented stamp sets, so I am using my current 'go to' set for male cards, 'Wetlands'.  This would suit a nature oriented guy perfectly. I have combined all of the images on a sponged background for my card. I couldn't decide where/if to put a greeting on the front, so I ended up leaving it off. I have stamped and coloured a second goose and popped it up on the stamped image. The main panel is also popped up on the Cherry Cobbler base card.

I have done a bit more sponging on the inside with the little sand pipers. As my Dad passed away many years ago, I have used a more generic greeting here, but you can add whatever sentiment is appropriate.

CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop - Everyday

Hi there

This week, the CASE-ing the Catty Crew are looking at the large 'Every Day' section of the Stamping' Up! 2015-16 Annual Catalogue on pages 73 - 110.  There is a heap of inspiration in this section and so many great cards to CASE (Copy And Share Everything).

You may have come from Julia's blog, but if you are visiting me, you can continue with the blog hop by using the button at the bottom of the post.

I'm currently in Western Australia staying with a lovely friend in the country for a few days. I bought a few supplies with me so we could do a bit of crafting and I didn't want to miss the opportunity to participate in this week's blog hop. I decided to CASE the card at the bottom of page 74 and mine is a very CAS version.

I've taken this photo on a cute little table on her patio and you can see 'Millie' the lamb photo bombing in the background. I've made my label smaller to match the image and added the pretty floral DSP at the bottom. The paper piercing frames the label and I've added some pearl accents on the flowers. I keep thinking that it needs a touch of something else on it, but can't decide. What do you think?

'Lots of Joy' with Diorama Leftovers

 Hi there

A couple of weeks ago, I posted this Christmas Diorama card and said that my next challenge was to use up the Rich Razzleberry and Gold Glimmer Deco Labels die cuts that were a by product of making this card.

We made the Diorama in class last week as well as this next card that uses up some of the leftover die cuts. You actually get 3 die cuts left over from the Diorama as the Gold Glimmer is adhered to Rich Razzleberry card stock (except in the centre - we add glue around the edges of the framelit so they stay separate).  We cut the Gold Glimmer die cut again with the next smallest Deco Label framelit to create a gold frame. This leaves another set of smaller Deco Labels to use on a third card. (I didn't have time to make them into a card before I left on my trip).

The lovely greeting from 'Lots of Joy' was stamped on Whisper White and then die cut with the Deco Labels framelits (with the greeting slightly to the right, so the tree fits) and popped into the gold frame. This is a great way to make the most of your Gold Glimmer paper.

I finished off the inside very simply with the cute 'postage' stamp from 'Lots of Joy' and a strip of Gold Glimmer paper at the base.
