Easter Projects - Part 1
March 22, 2015
Hi there
I don't know about you, but I can't believe it is only 2 weeks until Easter! The year really is flying by and it is hard to keep up. I spent an enjoyable 10 days in Western Australia catching up with friends and family and celebrating my MILs 90th birthday. Now I'm peddling hard to catch up with the chores at home and in the garden!
However, in the few days since I've been home I have been making some cute projects that I will be sharing with you in the next couple of days. The first of these is my version of a bunny treat box using the Bigz L Fry Box die. I've had this die for a while, but it has been sadly neglected. Now I have dusted it off, I see lots more opportunities for it - isn't this always the way? I think he is pretty cute and much cuter IRL than the photo shows.
The box holds a full bag of the pretty polka dot Lindt mini eggs, but I've also tried it with the Lindt hen and eggs as well. For gift giving it may be easier to put the eggs in a cellophane bag tied with ribbon or thick baker's twine. This is what he looks like from the back.
The next project would be perfect for kids to give their friends at school. I've filled a cellophane tube with crisp shelled mini eggs and added a cute tag using the 'For Peeps Sake' stamp set. I think the greeting goes perfectly!
Here is a close-up pic of the tag.
I am offering a PDF tutorial that includes these 2 projects and 2 additional projects that I will show you tomorrow - great value for your Easter crafting.
I am also offering kits (available for postal addresses in Australia only) so you can make your own Bunny Treat Boxes. You will receive all of the punched elements and the box as a flat pack for you to construct (it does not include the treats!). You will need to provide adhesives (Tombow glue or equivalent, glue dots), ink and sponge for adding definition to the punched elements, grey or black marker, white gel pen. The box base will be Smoky Slate (pale grey) with a number of different colour options for the spotted designer paper. If you want a specific colour not listed, please contact me.
