Hexagon Hive with Petite Petals
August 26, 2014
Hi there
Today I have the second card we made in our class on Saturday, to share with you. It uses the Hexagon Hive Thinlit over DSP to provide a background for the cute Petite Petals flowers cut from Shimmery white card stock. The small flower from the retired Itty Bitty Punch Pack in coordinating colours make them pop. This card was inspired by one made by Di Barnes.
This colour combo is fresh and summery and the Calypso Coral seam binding ribbon adds some pop to the sentiment. I backed the ribbon with a strip of Calypso Coral card stock as it is quite soft and transparent. Unfortunately, the photo doesn't really convey the freshness of the colour combo. The card is larger than standard, as I wanted to provide more space around the frame.
