Merry Monday #52
March 06, 2013
Hi there
Time for another Christmas card with the Merry Monday #52 challenge. This week is a colour challenge with Always Artichoke, River Rock and Cherry Cobbler being the chosen colours to work with.
It is ages since I have used Always Artichoke on a card. I used it quite a lot a few years ago, but with the trend towards brighter colours it fell by the wayside. However, this is a great opportunity to renew the acquaintance with a more classic, muted Christmas card than usual. I have also used a retired stamp set 'Peaceful Wishes' which I bought second hand in the very early days before I joined up with SU. It is still a keeper.
It is difficult to see, but I have trimmed the brocade ornament with pearls to enhance the classic elegance and popped up the entire panel on textured Always Artichoke card stock.
For the inside, I have used the miseltoe stamp from 'Peaceful Wishes' with markers direct to the rubber.
Project Details | |
