Today I have a birthday card for you, using the inaugural sketch from the new Seize the Birthday sketch challenge site. The neat thing about this challenge is that you make a feminine card one week and then a masculine card with the same sketch, the following week. Now that will be a REAL challenge. I have a heap of birthdays for family and friends in the first half of the year, so this will help me to get organised. I'm also looking forward to getting some inspiration for masculine cards.
This week is a feminine card using this sketch:
I was in the mood to colour on the weekend, so I inked up this non-SU! 'Sweet Violets' stamp and coloured it with copics. This was going to be my trial piece to try out the colours, but I was sufficiently happy with it to use it for the focus on this card. Having done that, I had to resort to my pre Stampin' Up! stash to find some co-ordinating designer papers. Shades of purple haven't featured much in SU! DSP in recent years. This is the final result.
