Retro Sketch #21

Hi there

It has been a busy time catching up since being away.  Unfortunately, both Artie and Crafty had a trip to the vet in the days after we got back  with a dose of cat flu, despite being vaccinated.  We have had bad luck over the years putting our cats in the 'pet resort' while we are away.  They are both on the mend now, thankfully. We were also up before the sparrows (4am!!) on Sunday morning for a trip to the airport to meet the 16 year old German Rotary Exchange student that we will be hosting from November.  As I've only ever been the parent of 4 legged furry things, I'm sure it will be an adventure that (hopefully) I (and he) will survive!

The card I have for you today is based on last week's Retro Sketch #21.  I didn't make the cut off, but never mind. Here is the sketch:

I have used the lovely floral paper from the soon to be retired 'Domestic Goddess' DSP as the focus with Crumb Cake to tone it down a bit (not sure I succeeded there!).   Here it is:

Project Details
Stamps Elementary Elegance (Retired Sale-a-bration)
Card stock & Papers Crumb Cake, Calyspo Coral, Pool Party, Domestic Goddess DSP, Whisper White, Calypso Coral Patterns
Ink Memento Tuxedo Black, Crumb Cake
Accessories Basic Pearls, White Seam Binding ribbon (not SU), Linen Thread

Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Beautiful Wings Sizzlit, Tag, Doily, Rolled Rose & Leaves Dies (not SU), Big Shot, Dimensionals, Sponge Dauber

Thanks for stopping by.

This is a gorgeous card Judy!

What a pretty design, Judy! The papers are gorgeous! Hugs xxx

love your card Judy - that flower is beautiful. Good luck with the teenager - at least you get to send him home again after a month. They are much the same as the four legged fur kids - feed them well and let them sleep and all will be good with the world :)
