More than a bit retro...

Hi there

Life has been getting in the way of my crafting recently, but I have tried to go with the flow and not get too frustrated about it. I have finally finished this card which has been hanging around on my craft desk for the last week.

I was fortunate to win a prize from the 'Prize Patrol' during Convention which included products from the 'Storybook Suite' that will be coming in the new Catalogue to be released on 1 September 2012 in Australia.  The image on the card is an a la carte stamp called 'Life Shared', which reminds me so much of the 'Dick and Dora' readers we got in early primary school. Those of a similiar vintage to myself would hopefully relate to this.  I cut off the sentiment from the bottom of the stamp and mounted it on the end of the block so I can easily stamp it where I want to.

It is a nice image to colour and I have tried to keep a 'retro' look in the choice of colours for the image and accompanying card stock.

The colours are great, Judy, and I just love the addition of the Itty Bitty flowers. We had "Dick and Jane" readers when I was in primary school! Sweet card, my friend!

Gorgeous card, Judy. Just love that retro look. Yes...it throws me back to my early school days too! The colours you've used are beautiful.
