Today I want to share with you this cute little gift box that we made in class last week. I love that you can take a $5 packet of chocolates from the supermarket and turn it into a lovely thank you gift and have fun at the same time!
The box uses the new Gift Card Enclosure from the Annual Catalogue. You get 10 in a packet for $9.95 AUD and it would be fabulous for all manner of seasonal treats. This is my take on the idea that I saw in a display at the South Pacific Convention.
Using the 8th (counting from the centre) Circles Collection framelit, cut the circles of DSP for the outside and coordinating DSP for the inside of the box. I have used the new All Abloom paper stack and coordinating Blushing Bride backgrounds for the inside. Fold them in half and cut on the fold. I trimmed 1/8" off the straight edges to get a nice border all the way around.
I traced one of the semi-circles from the gift card enclosure and created a template to punch the holes on each side to thread the ribbon through. The new 1/8" handheld punch is perfect for the task. I have finished it with one of the tags from the new 'Tag Talk' stamp set. The Lindt Stawberries & Cream chocolates were the perfect colour to match the DSP!
This is what the box looks like on the inside. I look forward to making some more of these later in the year for Christmas treats.
These are the key products required to make this project.
